Why we do what we do...

Do you ever have a moment where every hardship, every tear, every frustrating pound against the keyboard all fade away and you realize it was ALL so worth it? And you can't wait to do it again and again and again? This picture is that for me. This picture is our God moving. This picture is a miracle. This picture is my hearts desires and passion in a 4 by 6.

Fazira is a darling little girl who has stolen the hearts of the many volunteers and visitors that come in and out of Amani. Her story has been rough and her future has at times seemed hopeless, but our God is mighty to save and he performed a miracle for his daughter! This picture is her Jjaja (grandma) meeting her for the first time in years as she comes to take Fazira home with her. The Jjaja jumped out of the car and twirled Fazira around in celebration. Though the rejoicing in this picture brings tears to my eyes I know there is an even greater party up in heaven as the heavenly hosts dance for joy to see another child HOME!
